If You Thought Your Night Last Night Was Weird, Wait Until You See Clean Girls' "First Night Out" Video

Don't call Clean Girls "noise rock," make out with them instead.

Clean Girls are being really weird about being called a "noise rock." So wild that band wouldn't want to be pigeonholed in the genre that, of all the musical genres outside of hardcore, has the highest ratio of vaguely dissatisfied, garden-variety misogynists posing as insane-in the-membrane misanthropes! Of course, Clean Girls are totally sick-as-hell noise rock, but they are more Vile Cherubs than Cherubs and more not-mild-indie-period Unrest (Malcolm X Park, son) than Unwound. OK, they're pretty Unwound. But Unwound rule and it would be silly not to be. And, being on Accidental Guest and having contributed to one of last years finest punk/noise comps, Beyond Inversion, THEIR POLITICS ARE HELLA IMPECCABLE.

Their new video, for the song "First Day Out," is an epic ode to pasty skin, the close-up Sarah Michelle Gellar/Selma Blair spit kiss in Cruel Intentions, girls peeing, and, presumably, the greatest sex scene ever filmed, the egg yolk passing scene in Tampopo. So obviously we love it. Their new tape, American Mothers/Last House, is out now on Accidental Guest. Get into it or die a chump.
