Butch Walker Sounds Perfectly Bereft on New Single "Bed on Fire"

You know they're no good. Nothin' but trouble. Same old shit. And yet you keep going back. SUCKER.

You know they're no good. Nothin' but trouble. Same old shit. And yet you keep going back. SUCKER. It's the basis for many a great pop song and Butch Walker's no more immune to the idiocy of love than you are, apparently. Lifted from his forthcoming seventh album, Afraid of Ghosts, out via Dangerbird Records on 3.2.15, "Bed on Fire" is a sulky meditation on groundhog day love where he revels in a scorching solo, swelling strings, and Walker comes off sounding just the right amount of tortured. If you like Ryan Adams then you'll dig this, which is unsurprising because Walker's been touring with the alt.country troubadour. Plus Adams offered his production skills for the album which was recorded live on an old tape machine. Oh and Johnny Depp is soloing on Walker's song "21+." And Bob Mould makes a cameo on there too. Casual.
