Welp, he finally did it. 2 Chainz, the bedreadlocked bizarro gangster rapper, stayed true to the chorus of his song "Riot" and, like, actually started a riot. What happened was this: Chainz was performing at Howard University's Yardfest homecoming event when he brought out Pusha T to perform their half of "Mercy." People got amped. Then, Drake took the stage and they performed their single "No Lie," and people knocked over the barrier and a cop got injured. Drake jumped in the crowd and kept performing, which is just as admirable as him graduating high school earlier this week.
What follows is a series of 2 Chainz-based jokes that one could use to explain what happened.
1. There is a 2 Chainz single called "Riot" where he yells, "Imma start a riot!" a bunch of times.
2. One of 2 Chainz's mantras is the word "true," which he managed to single-handedly transform from a word that meant something was objectively accurate to just something you can say in pretty much every situation. If someone was said, "Hey can you bring me a soda?" to you, you could respond with, "True," and bring them a soda.
3. The theme of 2 Chainz and Drake's "No Lie" is that they have never told a lie.
So if you're genuinely surprised that 2 Chainz started a riot somewhere, you haven't been paying close enough attention. He literally has been predicting this in his music.
